Marble Repair & Restoration in the Financial District

FiDi has more marble per square foot than anywhere else in New York — bank halls on Wall Street, tower lobbies on Water and Broad, elevator cabs, and pre-war offices converted to condos on Nassau and Pine. MarbleBLU has repaired, polished and restored that stone since 1997. Dustless, in place, after hours whenever your building needs it.

Neighborhood Expertise

FiDi Stone Takes More Punishment Than Anywhere Else

Talk to a Technician

The Financial District is a working neighborhood in a way that Tribeca or the Upper East Side are not. Tens of thousands of people cross the same marble lobby floor every week. Elevator cabs take constant traffic. Restaurant and café bars on Stone Street and Maiden Lane get etched every single day. And the buildings themselves span four centuries — a 1920s bank hall with original Tennessee marble sits three doors from a 2019 condo conversion with honed Calacatta in every bath.

Those two jobs need completely different work. Historic bank marble often needs a gentle, conservation-minded approach that preserves patina rather than grinding it to a mirror. A new condo bath needs a fast, single-visit refinish before a closing. Lobby floors need overnight scheduling and a maintenance program, not a one-time visit. We do all three, and we tell you up front which result is realistic.

Wall Street & Broad Street Lobbies

Marble and terrazzo lobby floors, elevator cabs, revolving-door surrounds and banking halls — restored overnight so the building opens on time.

Office-to-Condo Conversions

Nassau, Pine and John Street conversions with new marble baths and kitchens — chip, etch and shower marble repair before closings and inspections.

Stone Street & Restaurant Bars

Wine, citrus and vinegar etch on marble bar tops and café counters — ground out and re-polished, with protection against the next spill.

Historic Banking Halls

Original Tennessee, Vermont and Italian marble in landmark interiors — cleaned and honed conservation-first, without grinding away a century of patina.

Services in the Financial District

What We Fix Downtown

The three services FiDi calls us for most — plus the specialist work that follows.

For Property Managers

Built for FiDi Buildings

Certificates of insurance, approved contractor hours, service elevators and overnight work — handled before we arrive, not on the day.

1

Send Photos

Text or email pictures of the floor, cab or counter. We tell you immediately whether it is repairable in place or needs full restoration.

2

On-Site Estimate

Free written estimate, with square footage, scope and schedule laid out so it can go straight to a board or ownership.

3

COI & Scheduling

Certificate of insurance naming the building or management company, then we book to your approved contractor hours and service elevator.

4

Dustless, In Place

Wet diamond process — no airborne dust, no removal of the stone, no demolition. Lobbies are back in service before the building opens.

Overnight & Weekend Work

A FiDi lobby cannot close at 10 AM. We schedule lobby floors, elevator cabs, corridors and retail entries after 6 PM and on weekends so the building stays open and tenant traffic is never affected.

Maintenance Programs

High-traffic marble and terrazzo dulls on a predictable cycle. We set up recurring polishing and honing programs so the lobby never reaches the point where it needs a full restoration.
